Civil engineering professor receives national award

Dr. Joseph Yura, emeritus civil engineering professor, received the Offshore
Technology in Civil Engineering Hall of Fame award from the American Society of
Civil Engineers for his paper entitled “Ultimate Capacity Equations for Tubular
Joints.” Winning papers were selected based on innovation, vision, direction and
lasting impact on the design, construction or installation of the offshore
infrastructure.
