Dr. Adam Heller, chemical engineering professor emeritus, received an honorary doctorate from the City University of New York (CUNY) and gave the commencement address at CUNY’s Queens College. Heller is a world-renowned chemical engineer whose most recent contributions were to painless and continuous glucose monitors for diabetes management, manufactured and sold worldwide by Abbott Diabetes Care, a subsidiary of Abbott Laboratories. Heller holds the Ernest Cockrell, Sr. Chair Emeritus in Engineering and is a research professor.
