This semester, Professor of Innovation Bob Metcalfe interviewed Michael Dell, and students from his 1 Semester Startup class pitched 20 startups to investors as part of Demo Day.
After a question-and-answer session with Professor of Innovation Bob Metcalfe, Michael Dell, founder of Dell Inc., fielded questions from the audience. Dell was on campus Nov. 17 for "TES Presents: Talking Startups With Michael Dell," where he shared stories about entrepreneurship and innovation as it related to his current role at Dell, as well as when he was a student at UT.
Twenty undergraduate student startups presented five-minute investor pitches to the Austin entrepreneurial community Dec. 1 at the Red McCombs End Zone Club as part of Demo Day. The startups were part of 1 Semester Startup, a class at the university that supports undergraduates who are starting companies. Metcalfe is one of three professors of the class.
