A research paper by Dr. Yale N. Patt, professor of electrical and computer engineering, holder of the Ernest Cockrell, Jr. Centennial Chair in Engineering, and his former student Dr. Tse-Yu Yeh, an associate research scientist in the HPS Research Group and currently the Chief Architect of Palo Alto Semiconductor, won the IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Computer Architecture (ISCA) 2007 Most Influential Paper of the Year Award.
