In the annual rankings of undergraduate program quality by U.S. News & World Report, the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin ranked ninth in the nation among 364 accredited engineering schools, and fifth among the public institutions.

Biomedical engineering professor wins national James E. Bailey Award

Dr. George Georgiou, a biomedical engineering professor and chemical engineering professor, was awarded the James E. Bailey Award from the Society for Biological Engineering of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) for his contributions to protein engineering, specifically the development of therapeutics to biological warfare agents, protein manufacturing technologies, and combinatorial library screening methodologies.
Robotic Research Group directors win outstanding paper award
