The University of Texas at Austin, Los Alamos National Laboratory, The University of California at San Diego, the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS, Brazil) (local organizing partner) and Pontifica Universidad Catolica de Chile (PUC, Chile) are jointly sponsoring a National Science Foundation funded Science Institute to be held June 4-15 in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
The Institute will investigate the development and application of Predictive Process Dynamics for Manufacturing (PPDM). PPDM seeks to greatly improve manufacturing processes through integrating different process data types and to monitor and control quality metrics in real time.
