Jeff Edgar was recognized during University of Texas Cockrell College of Engineering commencement exercises as an "Outstanding Young Engineer" of 2008.
This recognition, given to four graduates annually, is a means of honoring graduates who have made significant contributions to their fields,
their university, and their communities. Further these are engineers who have served as role models for current or prospective engineering students.
An Engineering Manager for Baytex Energy USA, Edgar earned a master’s degree in petroleum & geosystems engineering from The University of
Texas at Austin in 1997. Prior to joining Baytex, Edgar was a senior evaluations engineer and acquisitions manager for Quantum Resources,
LLC, acquisitions manager for Aspect Energy, LLC., and worked for Hilcorp Energy in Houston, where he managed the reserve department and
generated reserve reports. He is an SPE member, and a Friend of Alec. He lives in Golden Colorado with his wife and son. Congratulations Jeff,
we always enjoy seeing our graduates honored for their success and commitment to their community.
