News :: Xu Recieves Doctoral Fellow award

PGE Graduate student Liying Xu has been selected to receive a Washington State University (WSU) ADVANCE EXCELinSE Summer Doctoral Fellow award. Xu, who participated in the Summer Doctoral program at WSU spent six weeks on the WSU-Pullman campus, where she attended workshops on research and academic careers, received mentoring by faculty members in closely related fields to her course of study, and worked on completing her dissertation. This fellowship is funded by money received by WSU from a National Science Foundation Advance grant and is meant to contribute to the “development of a more diverse science and engineering workforce”. Congratulations.
