Associate Professor Carlos Torres-Verdín was recently notified that he will be awarded the 2008 Society of Petroleum
Engineers Formation Evaluation Award. In SPE's own words, "this award recognizes outstanding achievements in or contributions to the advancement of
petroleum engineering in the area of formation evaluation, encompassing core analysis, well logging, and petrophysics."
The award will be given on September 22, 2008 in Denver Colorado at the Society's Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition.
Congratulations to Carlos Torres-Verdín on this well deserved honor!
