SHPE works directly with Pi Sigma Pi, NSBE, and the EOE Program in order to enhance the college experience for all minority engineering students.

NSBE's mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community. NSBE is comprised of more than 270 chapters on college and university campuses, 75 Alumni Extension chapters nationwide and 75 Pre-College chapters. These chapters are geographically divided into six regions.

Founded in 1974, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Inc., is a national not-for profit organization that promotes Hispanics in engineering and other related technical fields. SHPE continues to expand at an aggressive pace and currently includes 6,000 members affiliated with 40 professional chapters and 147 student chapters in the United States and Puerto Rico.
