Innovating change at UT Austin's College of Engineering

A competition by the Roden Leadership Program

"Rodennovations" - a new way to engage students with the UT Austin College of Engineering.

Based in part on reality TV shows like "The Apprentice", the goal of Rodennovations is to encourage students to employ a diverse set of knowledge and skills to positively impact the College of Engineering.

The Vector Challenge:
With more than 7,000 students and faculty at the UT College of Engineering, there exists tremendous potential for The Vector to expand its visibility, readership base, and impact. The Vector Challenge will ask participating teams to create a template for a revamped, fresh Vector. Teams will have to consider content, design, layout, administration, funding, distribution and other aspects for an updated Vector.

Teams of 2-4 individuals will be provided general information about the current modus operandi of the Vector from the Vector staff, and will have additional opportunities to meet the staff to ask specific follow-up questions before their final presentations.
