Roden Membership Information

The Roden Leadership Program is currently seeking new members who have a commitment to developing leadership in themselves and in others.

AS A RODEN SCHOLAR YOU WILL…
LEAD NEW CAMPUS PROGRAMS
BE AN AGENT OF CHANGE IN THE WORLD AROUND YOU
MEET SUCCESSFUL, NATIONALLY-KNOWN LEADERS

Requirements for Membership:

To be eligible for the Roden Leadership Program, you must:
Be a full-time College of Engineering student in good standing.
Have completed two long semesters at the University of Texas at Austin.
Have demonstrated leadership, teamwork ability, and integrity.

Once selected, Roden Scholars are expected to participate in the program by:
Actively participating in weekly general and committee meetings.
Realizing and pursuing their own leadership goals within the context of the program.
Committing to the development of the program’s larger projects.
Making a significant contribution to the University through their participation.




How to Apply:
Download a membership application (2008).
Return the last page of the membership application, along with your essay responses and involvement list to the Engineering Student Affairs Office, ECJ 2.200, no later than 5 pm on Friday, February 29, 2008.


Selection Process:
Once all the applications have been reviewed, candidates will be selected for interviews and notified.
Interviews of selected candidates will be Monday and Tuesday March 3 and 4 between 5 and 8 pm.
*NOTE: You must be available during this time for a 15 minute interview.
