Prospective First-Year Students

Prospective first-year students can apply for scholarships by completing the UT Scholarship section of the ApplyTexas Application when applying to The University of Texas at Austin.  To be considered for scholarships from the Cockrell School of Engineering, you must select Engineering as your first-choice major.  The application must be completed by December 1st. The University will forward a copy of your completed scholarship application to the Engineering Scholarship Program for consideration.  The Engineering Scholarship Program will acknowledge receipt of your application by February 1st.  Any scholarship offers that the Engineering Scholarship Program extends will be mailed in the spring.

The Cockrell School of Engineering proudly participates in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) and the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) scholarship programs.  We also participate in the MATHCOUNTS Program and the SAE Engineering Scholarship program.
