Oklahoma Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Bridge to the Doctorate Program
Eligibility:
- Participation in an LSAMP program
- Completion of undergraduate degree requirements in a STEM discipline
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
- Minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA
- Copy of Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores
- Acceptance by the OSU Graduate College
- Acceptance by STEM department
- Commitment to pursue the Ph.D. in a STEM discipline

Texas Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Bridge to the Doctorate Program
Eligibility:
- Past LSAMP, FaST, SULI, REU, or NSF Scholar
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident
- 3.0/4.0 or higher undergraduate cumulative GPA
- Acceptance to a UTEP STEM Graduate Program for Fall 2008 or Spring 2009
- Commitment to pursue a Ph.D. in a STEM field of choice

SCO Numatics Engineering College Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in an instrumentation, systems, electrical, mechanical, or automation discipline at a U.S. educational institution accredited by an agency recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- Must have completed sophomore year in a bachelor’s degree program or enrolled in a graduate program, at the time of application
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student for the 2008/2009 academic year
- Applicant must have at least an overall GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be U.S. citizen or legal U.S. resident

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships For New Americans
Eligibility:
- Be a "Green Card" holder, or be a naturalized citizen, or have two parents who are naturalized citizens as of the date of your application.
- May not be older than 30 years as of November 1, 2008.
- You must be a senior in college or a holder of a bachelor’s degree or at present enrolled in a graduate program. Individuals who are in the third, or subsequent, year of study in the same graduate program are not, however, eligible for this competition. Students who have received a master’s degree in a program and are continuing for a doctoral degree in the same program are considered to have been in the same program from the time they began their work on their master’s degree. Applicants in dual degree programs will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

John Bardeen Engineering Fellowship Program at Fermilab
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be recipients of a Masters or PhD degree in engineering from an accredited institution and apply within one year of graduation
- A thesis consisting of independent study must have been a significant part of the graduate degree. Degrees consisting of only complete classroom work do not qualify.
- Candidates should rank in the top quarter of their graduating class.
- Fermilab provides opportunities in the fields of electrical, electronics, radio frequency systems, power distribution, super-conducting magnets, mechanical, material science, cryogenic, and civil engineering.

The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Postdoctoral Fellowship Program
Eligibility:
- Open to U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents
- Received a Ph.D., Sc.D., or other earned research doctoral degree recognized in U.S. academic circles as equivalent to the Ph.D. within seven years of the date of application, or must present acceptable evidence of having completed all formal academic requirements for one of these degrees.
- Applicants who has received a prior postdoctoral fellowship at a navy laboratory under any program may not be eligible to participate in the NRL Postdoctoral Fellowship Program at the same laboratory.
Deadline: Applications are accepted and processed on
an on-going basis.

- One to three year postdoctoral fellowship program designed to increase the involvement of creative and highly trained scientists and engineers from academia and industry to scientific and technical areas of interest and relevance to the Navy
- Offers a competitive stipend, as well as insurance, relocation and travel allowances

National Science Foundation Graduate School Opportunities
Eligibility:
- Aims to be a scientist for the future--one who is more flexible, more collaborative, more adept at linking issues in the life, earth, and social sciences, and more able to solve the global issues that face us today.
- Has demonstrated strong interest and motivation in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
