Text Box: ANNOUNCEMENTS!!! *Societies* If you want an easy 50 points for E-Week bring AT LEAST 3 members of your society to Introduce a Girl to Engineering event on Saturday Feb 23 and receive 50 easy points!! THE UPDATED RESULTS (AS OF 2/22/08) Leaderboard: Large: Small: 1.) ASME 1.) TBP 2.) SWE 2.) HKN 3.) IEEE 3.) OXE E-WEEK is off to a GREAT start!! *VERY IMPORTANT* Societies, when you are running an event, make sure that you separate out the winners of the large orgs from that of the small ones. For instance, if ASME, HKN, TT, and IEEE are competing then you will have 4 winners. The large ones: 1st place ASME 2nd place IEEE and for small ones: 1st place HKN 2nd place TT. (obviously you will have up to 6 winners if 3 small and 3 large orgs attend) SEE RULE #7!! CLARIFIED What in the world is E-Week? E-week is national celebration of engineering. Here at UT it is a week long competition between the different engineering student organizations. Societies earn point by putting on events (like Friday in the Park, Mr. Engineering, etc.) as well as by participating in other societies events/competitions. All events are open to all engineering students and encouraged to participate even if they don’t belong to a particular society.
