Scholarship Deferment Form If you currently receive a scholarship from the Engineering Scholarship Program, you may be eligible to defer your scholarship if you plan to be away from school for one or more semesters. Please complete the following form to petition to delay your scholarship. One-Year Scholarships: One-year scholarships are awarded for a single academic year where one half of the award amount is distributed in the fall semester and the other half is distributed in the spring semester. If the scholarship recipient is not enrolled full time both fall and spring during the academic year, one semester of the scholarship (one half of the award) may be forfeited, depending on the scholarship and the circumstances of the absence. Multi-Year Scholarships: Multi-year scholarships are awarded for four or more long semesters (fall and spring). One half of the annual award amount is distributed in the fall semester and the other half is distributed in the spring semester. Scholarship recipients may receive the full number of semester scholarship awards provided that all criteria for continuation are met (GPA, major, etc.). Scholarship recipients may be allowed to push forward their scholarship awards to the next long semester for approved absences.
