In addition to advising undergraduate students in the College of Engineering, Diana Flannery coordinates the Academic Community Centers in the Jester and Kinsolving residence halls, which features advising, free drop-in tutoring and study tables for undergraduate engineering majors. She also coordinates the General Engineering Program, which offers supplemental instruction for required math, physics, and chemistry courses in the engineering curriculum. She hires and supervises tutors and teaching assistants for the programs.
Diana earned her bachelor’s degree in Spanish and psychology and master’s degree in counseling psychology and higher education administration from Ohio State University. She is a member of The University of Texas at Austin’s Academic Counselor's Association and the National Academic Advising Association. Diana has worked in higher education for 25 years, including posts at Stanford University, the University of California at Berkeley and Ohio State University.
