Tricia Gore has worked in higher education student services for over 20
years. She began working in the Cockrell School of Engineering,
Office of Student Affairs in 1992. Tricia is responsible for the Office of Student Affairs
Academic Advising Programs, New Student Orientation, Freshman Interest Groups and the
Internal Transfer Program for the Cockrell School of Engineering. She is the liaison to the
engineering departmental advising offices and junior and community college counselors and
advisers.
Tricia earned a bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Texas State University. Tricia is a member and past president of the university's Academic Counselors Association and a member of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA). She is the recipient of the university’s 1999 James W. Vick Award for Excellence in Advising and NACADA's 2006 Certificate of Merit Award for Outstanding Academic Advising Administrator.
