Sara Sanchez is the Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator for the Equal Opportunity in Engineering (EOE) Program. Sara develops and manages the pre-college initiatives for MITE and ENG@UT. She is committed to increasing the number of underrepresented students in the College of Engineering.

Sara graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Higher Education Administration. She is a member of the Texas Association of Chicanos in Higher Education (TACHE) and the National Association of Multicultural Engineering Program Advocates, Inc (NAMEPA). Prior to joining EOE, Sara served as a graduate intern for The University of Texas Multicultural Information Center while also completing a portfolio program in nonprofit and philanthropic studies at the LBJ School of Public Affairs. In 2002, she served as the Volunteer Coordinator for Breakthrough: Students Teaching Students. Sara also serves as a volunteer mentor for the Hispanic Mother-Daughter Program.
