Audra Sneed has worked in higher education for eight years. In February 2004, she joined the staff in the Cockrell School, Office of Student Affairs. She is responsible for the Global Engineering Education study abroad program for incoming international students, math readiness policy and major sequence (which requires a formal student application process before upper division classes can begin). Audra is also the special programs liaison for engineering student affairs, representing many programs and activities working to attract and encourage underrepresented populations such as first-generation and minority students.

Audra earned a bachelor's degree in business administration management from Texas A & M University and a master's degree in human services from St. Edward’s University. She is currently in the doctoral program at The University of Texas in Educational Administration with an emphasis in Higher Education. She is a member of the Association of Professionals in Student Affairs (APSA), Black Faculty and Staff Association (BFSA), Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA), and Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education. She is also the recipient of the Fall 2007 Eyes of Texas Excellence Award, which is given ten outstanding faculty, administration and staff. .
