The Cockrell School provides engineering students with a variety of communication, team building, and leadership development experiences. By participating in Engineering Student Life programs and student organizations, students learn that leadership development is a lifelong journey involving vision, relationships, and integrity. 

Through the various programs students gain confidence in their decision making abilities by:

  • Practicing teamwork in project management
  • Networking with colleagues to serve the community
  • Appreciating varying perspectives and negotiated shared goals

Engineering Ambassador Program

The Cockrell School Engineering Ambassadors are a group of students who serve as representatives for the college and university in outreach, recruitment, and leadership events. These students serve on at least one and up to two teams of ambassadors.

The Cockrell School of Engineering Student Division Offices hosts the Annual Student Leaders Conference to train, support, and excite student leaders across the Cockrell School. This includes student office staff, mentors, tutors, and student organization leaders!
