The Cockrell School of Engineering provides engineering students at The University of Texas at Austin with a variety of communication, team-building, and leadership development experiences, including over 70 engineering student organizations. Through participation in Cockrell School programs and student organizations, engineering students gain an understanding that leadership development is a lifelong journey involving vision, relationships, and integrity, ultimately developing outstanding skills that benefit society. Students that develop leadership, communication and team skills translates into more engineering graduates who are better prepared for the workforce and/or graduate school.

Ramshorn Retreats
Engineering Student Life is proud to offer the Ramshorn Retreats, a series of developmental programs open to all Cockrell School undergraduates.
Graduate Leadership Series
Held annually in the spring semester, Engineering Student Life’s Graduate Leadership Series (GLS) programs are four hour, on-campus programs for graduate students in the Cockrell School that provide professional development in engineering leadership and ethics.
LeaderShape-Texas
The national LeaderShape Institute is highly regarded as an intensive and energizing program open to any participant, institution, or work-place interested in producing extraordinary results in an organization while also developing a commitment to lead with integrity.
