A variety of workshops are offered to provide informal learning opportunities for engineering students in life-related issues such as stress management, communications, leadership, ethics, time management, teamwork, conflict resolution, financial planning, etc.

A financial planning workshop especially designed for UT engineering students!

How do I pay off those student loans?  Should I buy a car and a house when I graduate?   How can I get my credit card debt down?   What is a 401K?   Are mutual funds better than other investments?  What's the best way to save money?

 Presented through the Engineering Office of Student LifeLife Skills Workshops” series, "Engineering Your Financial Future!" will help you learn:

…as well as learn steps to make your financial dreams a reality!  Learn about investment strategies and money management in this informative and interactive session.   If you are graduating, you may want to come learn about these things before you have to start filling out all the paperwork at your new company!!  

The workshop will be presented by Paul D. Kelley, a UT Austin Engineering graduate (BSEE ’91) and a financial advisor/corporate educational specialist with Allstate Financial Services and president and owner of PK Sales, Inc., a consulting company specializing in strategic account management.  While at UT, Paul worked his way through school, balancing co-oping (3 tours with Frito-Lay) and being an active and involved student leader (Student Mentor, Student Engineering Council Society Representative, Student Ambassador and Theta Tau officer).
