Undergraduate Student (BS) Information and Application
All undergraduate students must apply for graduation by the mid semester deadline of the semester they are graduating. A student is considered eligible to graduate if he or she can complete all course requirements by registering for 14 semester hours or fewer. Students must apply for graduation the first semester they are eligible to graduate. >>
In Absentia Graduation Information
Students planning to graduate in December of 2009 and are NOT currently enrolled at UT, must apply to graduate In Absentia. >>
Graduation Ceremony (Commencement) Information
A graduating student may walk across the stage and be recognized during the Cockrell School of Engineering graduation ceremony.
- Undergraduate Students (BS) participating in ceremony
- Graduate Students (MS, MA, PhD) participating in ceremony
Degree Audit & Residence Rules
Students should go to their Departmental Undergraduate Coordinator or Staff Advisor, and complete a Degree Audit. >>
Order of the Engineer
Students may accept the "Obligation of an Engineer" at this special Engineer's Ring Ceremony. The Ring Ceremony is the public induction of candidates into the Order of the Engineer, during which the engineer candidates formally accept the Obligation of an Engineer and receive a stainless steel ring to be worn on the fifth finger of the working hand as a symbol. >>
$1,000 Tuition Rebate
An undergraduate may be eligible for a $1000.00 tuition rebate if, at graduation, he or she has attempted no more than three semester hours beyond the minimum number of hours required for the degree. >>
