EOE and WEP - Mentoring for Diversity in Engineering
The Equal Opportunity in Engineering (EOE) Program and Women in Engineering Program (WEP) encourage alumni and industry friends to participate in the College's mentoring program. Minority and female student populations continually list "role models" as one of their greatest needs in making a connection to their major and continuing their engineering studies. We hope you help join the effort to be a role model for current engineering students. The Open Mentoring™ tool has been customized based on student feedback from all populations in the College of Engineering and meets the needs of both EOE and WEP to academically, socially, and developmentally support students in engineering. While this is a College-wide mentoring effort, EOE and WEP will be encouraging and tracking participation from students and will be providing support to mentors and mentees throughout the mentoring process.
