Design next year's Orientation t-shirt and win $250 for your engineering student organization or FIG!

T-shirt Design Guidelines

  1. Decide on a shirt color.
  2. Use no more than three printed colors in the design.
  3. Positively represent the Cockrell School of Engineering - Please try to incorporate some of the messages below into your design, if possible.
  4. Groups may submit multiple entries.
  5. All entries due by 5:00 on Friday, October 17th!

Submit Your Design

  1. The contest is only open to students in Engineering FIGs and Engineering Student Organizations.
  2. To submit your designs, email it as an attachment to elizabeth.vondran@mail.utexas.edu with "T-shirt Contest" in the subject line and the name of your group or organization OR
  3. Bring your design to the Engineering Office of Student Affairs in ECJ 2.200. Include a cover sheet with your group or organization's name and "T-shirt Contest" on the front.

Engineering Messages

Recently, the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) commissioned a study and report on effective ways to communicate about engineering to the general public.
Some of the themes that were the most highly ranked in NAE study are as follows:

Top designs will be posted online and the students of the Cockrell School of Engineering will choose the final winner.
