Welcome to the 2006 TRTR Conference website! This year’s meeting will be hosted by the Nuclear Engineering Teaching Laboratory at The University of Texas at Austin. The meeting will be held at the Capitol Mariott in downtown Austin from September 12 – 15, 2006. Topics to be discussed at the meeting include nuclear reactor operations and maintenance, troubleshooting, security and safety; research, service, and production activities associated with research and test reactors; education, outreach, and training programs; and, reactor siting and decontamination and decommissioning activities.
Austin is located in central Texas and is known as “The Live Music Capitol of the World” and is often ranked as one of the best cities in the US to live. The “Around Austin” link to the left will provide you with information about Austin and surrounding areas. The Austin City Limits Musical Festival will be in Austin the weekend after the meeting. You might want to make arrangements to extend your stay to attend this incredible event.
