Registration Advising

Requirements for Fall 2017 Course Registration

ASE/COE: Registration advising is not required unless a student’s overall GPA is below a 2.0. Appointments are available for anyone who would like to be advised. Walk-in peer advising will also be available in October.

BME: Registration advising is required for all BME students except seniors (Class of 2018). Group and Peer Advising are required for freshmen and sophomores (Classes of 2021 and 2020), and Group Advising is required for juniors (Class of 2019).  Degree plan and advising materials can be downloaded from the BME websitegree plan and advising materials can be downloaded from the BME website

CHE: Registration advising is required for all chemical engineering students. Students should sign up online for advising appointments. Specific instructions will be posted and sent via email to all chemical engineering students the week of October 2. 

CAEE: Registration advising is required of all civil, architectural, and environmental engineering students, and is offered on a walk-in basis October 18-20 and 22-25 on the second floor of ECJ (there will be signs pointing toward advising areas). Students who do not get advised during the official advising period will not be able to register during their first registration access period.

ECE: Advising is not required, however it is highly recommended for students to review their IDA prior to registration and meet with an advisor if they have questions or need guidance. Probationary and appeals students are required to meet with a designated ECE advisor.

ME: Registration advising is required for all Mechanical Engineering students. There are two ways a student may clear their advising bar, 1) Schedule an appointment with an ME advisor via the online Appointment Scheduler or, 2) Submit a completed Advising Registration form to the ME Academic Advising Office, ETC 5.224, by October 25 at 4:30 p.m. (CST).    

PGE: Registration advising is required for all petroleum and geosystems engineering and hydrogeology students. Registration advising begins October 16-November 10. The registration system will be active beginning October 9. Students should sign up online for advising appointments.
