Student Support Services

Numerous professional staff members in the Cockrell School are dedicated to assisting you with your academic journey. We encourage you to connect with academic advisers and program staff members early in your academic career so you receive ongoing, personalized and responsive guidance and support.

The Student Affairs Office (SAO) exists to serve students, faculty, staff and the university by assisting in recruiting, retaining and graduating engineering students. The SAO represents the Office of the Dean in all student matters, and helps students navigate the policies and procedures of the Cockrell School and the university.

Specialized student support programs dedicated to helping all students with their academic and career goals are outlined below, along with various services provided by the SAO.
