Academic Community Center Tutoring in Jester

Free tutoring and study groups are offered in Chemistry, Math, Physics, Biology, Engineering Mechanics, Architectural, Aerospace, Biomedical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical and Mechanical engineering courses. These study tables are staffed by engineering graduate students and upper class engineering majors.

Departmental Tutoring

The departments in the Cockrell School of Engineering offer tutoring in select classes that are required in their degree plan:

Aerospace
Course offered:  ASE 311
Dates: Tuesday-Thursday
Time: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Location: W. R. Woolrich Laboratories (WRW), Room 205
Tutoring for EM 306, 311M and 319 is available Sunday-Wednesday, 8:30-10:30 p.m. in the Jester Academic Community Center.

Biomedical
Courses offered: ALL BME courses as well as math, physics, EE 312, biology and chemistry.
Tutors will be in all 303 labs as well as Jester tables in the evenings.
Private tutoring by appointment. Contact information for all tutors is available in the BME Academic office.
Dates: Sunday-Wednesday, 8:30-10:30 p.m. in Jester Academic Community Center.

Chemical
Courses offered: CHE 317, CHE 333T, CHE 353
Tutoring days/hours are posted in the CHE Undergraduate Office (CPE, Room 2.706) and in the McKetta Study Lounge. Call 512-471-6443 for more information. Tutors are CHE undergraduates who have been recommended by CHE faculty.

Civil, Architectural and Environmental

Sanger Learning & Career Center

For a small fee, the UT Learning Center provides one-on-one appointment tutoring for many lower-division UT classes. Drop-In Tutoring is a free service to all currently enrolled UT students. Located in JES A309A, the Drop-in Tutoring Center offers an open study hall for students in introductory math, physics and chemistry courses.

ACE Tutoring

Get free tutoring through the Achieving College Excellence (ACE) Program in Division of Diversity and Community Engagement. If you would like more information about the ACE Program, you can contact them at 512-471-1205 or on Campus at the Student Services Building, Room 4.104.

Equal Opportunity in Engineering (EOE) Tutoring Program

Established to promote the recruitment, retention and academic development of students who come from historically underrepresented population groups in Texas, EOE supports students in the pursuit of academic excellence through the EOE Tutoring Program. Located in the Pi Sigma Pi Study Room (ECJ 1.216), the EOE Tutoring Program offers 2 hours of free tutoring per week for Basic Sequence and upper division engineering courses. One-on-one and group tutorial sessions are available. In order to request a tutor, students must fill out an application in the EOE Office or Pi Sigma Pi Study Room. Undergraduate Writing Center

The Undergraduate Writing Center provides professional advice on all aspects of writing. Walk-ins are welcome. The Center is open Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-7 p.m. (last appt. at 6 p.m.) and Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m. (last appt. at 2 p.m.) in the Flawn Academic Center, Room 211.

Physics Tutoring

Physics tutoring is available Sunday-Thursday 5-9 pm in ECJ, Room 1.214.

Computer Science

Upsilon Pi Epsilon provides free one-on-one tutoring in some CS classes. Tutoring is provided on a walk-in basis free of charge. Their main focus is on CS 303E, CS 307, CS 315, CS 310 and CS 328. Located in Taylor Hall, Room 3.128, tutoring times are Wednesday 6:30-8:30 p.m.
