Tricia Berry, Director

Tricia Berry is the Director of the Women in Engineering Program at The University of Texas at Austin.  Tricia is responsible for leading the efforts on recruitment and retention of women in the Cockrell School of Engineering.  Prior to this role, Tricia was Engineering Scholarship Program Director.  Tricia was responsible for the management of engineering scholarships and fellowships, recruitment of honors-level high school students, and fundraising.  She came to UT as Director in July 1999 after six years at The Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, Texas where she worked as a Process Engineer leading design and expansion projects and a Product Development Engineer assisting in the commercialization of a new epoxy thermoplastic and leading the customer plant start-up efforts.  In addition to her engineering roles, she was the UT Recruiting Team Lead Co-op Recruiter, an on-site Co-op Coordinator, the Take Our Daughters to Work Day Leader, and the SWE Convention Advisory Council Corporate Representative.  Tricia received her BS Chemical Engineering degree from UT in May 1993 and her MBA from the University of Houston – Clear Lake in May 1999.

Sher Marie Croft, Administrative Associate

Sher Marie Croft was born and raised in Conroe, Texas and attended Lee Jr. College in Baytown. She moved to Austin in 1968 when the first of her four children was born. In 1975, they began a family operated business which she managed for 15 years. Sher Marie began working at UT in the Petroleum Engineering Department in 1990. After 3 years, she accepted a position in the Women in Engineering Program office. Sher Marie was named Employee of the Quarter for the Dean's Staff in 1996. She received the 1997 Cockrell School of Engineering Staff Excellence Award and in 1998, the University Excellence Award. Sher Marie enjoys working with students, both Pre-College and university, as well as with the faculty, staff, and industry representatives.

Ana Dison, Program Coordinator

Ana Dison is Program Coordinator for Retention & Career Development Programs in the Women in Engineering Program. As an Academic Advisor III in the Student Affairs Office for six years, Ana advised thousands of students, coordinated a wide variety of programs and served as the degree evaluator for the College.

Ana earned her bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1992 and a master's degree in College Student Services Administration from Oregon State University in 1994. After working for two years at the University of Maryland, Ana returned to the University in 1996 and was Assistant Director in the Division of Recreational Sports. She joined the College in 2000.

Didey Muniz, Program Coordinator

Didey is the Outreach Program Coordinator. While in high school, she became interested in engineering after attending a weeklong residential camp at The University of Texas at Austin. She decided to major in Mechanical Engineering at UT and became immediately involved with WEP’s pre-college outreach efforts. During her freshman year in college, she was a Program Assistant for WEP’s summer camp, Careers in Engineering for Women (CEW), for middle school students. Didey continued working for WEP the rest of her college career. She helped develop curriculum for WEP’s outreach events, as well as their Web site, Engineering is COOL. Didey graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UT Austin in 2004 and joined WEP full-time in 2006.
