Spring Semester Seminar
Wednesdays, 2 - 4 p.m.
The goal of the WEP Career Development Seminar is to provide undergraduate students with a career development experience unlike any currently available in the Cockrell School of Engineering and to provide students with some of the knowledge and skills required for a success in the workplace. This seminar will provide undergraduate students with practical information and applications for the workplace through lecture, interactive discussion, role plays and other engaging teaching methods. The 2-credit hour, pass/fail course counts towards the 14 hour rule, is restricted to engineering majors and limited to 50 students.
Spring 2008 Course Plan - Seminar Content, Topics, Learning Objectives
Participants will gain access to high level leaders across campus, in industry and in the engineering community. Invited guests may include senior-VP and above management from WEP partner companies, authors, professional trainers, entrepreneurs, and faculty and leaders from across campus.
Participants in the WEP Career Development Seminar gain the skills to be successful both in school and in the workplace.
