A FIG (First-year Interest Group) is:

Participants in WEP FIGs take 1-3 cohort courses together and also meet weekly with their FIG facilitator and a peer mentor for a one hour seminar. Seminar topics are selected to help students adjust to life at UT, develop strategies for a successful college career and have some fun while getting acclimated.

Participation in WEP FIGs is limited to 20-25 students per FIG.

Of the many FIGs open to engineering students each year, WEP facilitates four.

Open to first year women majoring in ARE and CE.
