WE Connect is designed for high school women admitted to engineering and their parents or guardians who wish to learn more about The University of Texas at Austin Cockrell School of Engineering.
All WE Connect events offer the same information. At the event, admitted students explore all the opportunities the Women in Engineering Program and the Cockrell School of Engineering offer including mentoring for first-year students, First-Year Intererest Groups (FIGs), study abroad, career opportunities, and much more!
Admitted students will take a special tour of the engineering complex led by current engineering students who can answer questions about life at UT while parents attend a special Parent/Guardian Session led by WEP staff.
There are FOUR WE Connect events to choose from:
Saturday, December 17, 2011 (10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.)
Saturday, January 21, 2012 (10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.)
Saturday, February 11, 2012 (11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.)
Saturday, March 3, 2012 (as part of UT VIP)
Registration for the March 3 event is part of the UT VIP registration. Admitted to engineering women will receive an invitation from the Office of Admissions with instructions on how to register for UT VIP, the Cockrell School of Engineering session and WE Connect.
