Design Your World
Engineering and Computer Science @ UT
July 25, 2008
9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The Women in Engineering Program (WEP) with support from the Equal Opportunity in Engineering (EOE) Program and the Department of Computer Sciences present "Design Your World: Engineering and Computer Science @ UT." Design Your World is a program for high school senior students (men and women) interested in math, science, computer science or engineering. Outstanding African American, Hispanic and Native American students, as well as those who have overcome any social or economic hardship are strongly encouraged to participate. All students are welcome to attend.
Design Your World provides an opportunity to:
- explore your interests through sessions (tours, presentations and activities) led by engineering and computer science faculty and graduate students
- learn more about UT and the majors offered by the Cockrell School of Engineering and the Department of Computer Sciences
- have your questions answered by engineering students and faculty
- learn about UT's application, housing and scholarship processes
Parents are NOT REQUIRED to attend Design Your World. However, parents may join us for the OPTIONAL Parent/Guardian Information Session where representatives from the Cockrell School of Engineering will be available to answer questions about admissions, housing, scholarships, etc. After the session is over, parents will have free time to explore the UT campus.
