WEP depends on volunteers to make our programs successful. There are many opportunities for students, alumni, and corporate/community representatives to help.

Event Volunteer Opportunities

The OC: Options Conference: Share engineering stories and experiences with current engineering students.	40 Panelists Needed Panelist Registration is currently CLOSED
Women Engineers: Career Advice and Networking (WECAN): Help provide career advice and ongoing dialogue with our current students at monthly workshops.	Industry Reps & Alumni Needed throughout the year Volunteer for workshops through the Calendar of Events
Evening with Industry Banquet: Arrive early to help check-in participants or stay late to help clean up. Volunteers are given priority seating when possible.	40 Students Needed Volunteer Registration is currently CLOSED

Semester-Long Volunteer Opportunities

Office Volunteer: Help prepare for events and work behind-the-scenes to keep WEP running smoothly - volunteer to work regular hours in the WEP Office. Schedules are flexible and duties vary.	2-3 Students Needed per Semester Volunteer Applications CLOSED
Peer Assistance Leader (PAL): Mentor new engineering students, visit local schools to educate kids about engineering and make a difference in the lives of students.	40 Students Needed PAL Applications CLOSED Will re-open in mid-April for the following year

Giving Opportunities

Giving Opportunity	Description	Impact
Corporate Partnership	Corporate partners support WEP initiatives, gaining visibility and access to students	Funds contribute to program expenses including materials and supplies, scholarships, student support and program administration
Friends of Alec Annual Giving Program	Join WEP's campaign to fund an endowment for program support and student scholarships. Donate online today by selecting "Engineering, College of" and "Women in Engineering Program".	Funds contribute to the Women in Engineering Program Excellence Fund Endowment for scholarship and program support.
Individual Gifts	Individuals interested in supporting WEP through a direct donation or student partnership are invited to contact WEP directly.	Individual gifts support WEP initiatives, student scholarships and other student programs.
WEP Endowments	Individuals or corporate partners interested in creating an endowment to support WEP initiatives or scholarships are invited to support WEP through a direct donation or student partnership are invited to contact WEP directly.	Endowments support WEP initiatives, student scholarships and other student programs.
Door Prizes and Giveaways	Corporate partners, industry friends and alums are invited to provide door prizes and giveaways to encourage student participation and to recognize volunteers in WEP initiatives.	Door prizes and giveaways are provided at WEP events throughout the academic year, encouraging participation and subsequently increasing retention.
