K-12 Programs

WEP's kindergarten through 12th grade programs are designed to interest girls and young women in engineering and to encourage them to participate in the field. Additionally, WEP provides resources and training for K-12 educators and advocates in the community who are working to inspire girls and young women to pursue STEM degrees.

NOTE: All WEP K-12 programs will be hosted virtually through July 2021. See program pages for additional information.

Girl Day at UT Austin

This one-day event is geared toward K-8 students and features over 150 free-flowing hands-on activities and demonstrations hosted by volunteers, student organizations, corporate partners and community organizations. Students get the chance to explore STEM topics at their own pace throughout the event.

Educator Programs

Led by WEP, the Texas Girls Collaborative Project provides forums, curriculum, best practices and resources to foster collaborations, build capacity of participating organizations and create a state-wide network of informed and connected informal and formal STEM educators and advocates.

WEP hosts one-day and weeklong camps for students in high school.
