The Cockrell School of Engineering's short-term study abroad programs range in location and subject matter. Several programs offer immersion opportunities in industry or research.

Maymesters

4 weeks. Courses are attached to summer registration. There is no fee for Maymester course tuition, as long as the student is an undergraduate maintaining enrollment in at least 12 semester credit hours throughout the spring semester. Maymesters take place from May 20 until June 19. Maymesters are led by UT Austin faculty and the average group size is 10 to 30 students. Faculty Maymester leaders are outstanding engineering professors who are dedicated to mentoring students during the program and become lifelong contacts.
